American Airlines and IndiGo have launched a codeshare deal that permits the former to sell seats on the latter’s flights operating on Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Mumbai routes, a report told on Thursday.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“American <\/a>and\u00a0IndiGo\u00a0<\/a>plan to expand the codeshare soon to include more than a dozen additional destinations in India (in addition to Bengaluru and Mumbai),” it told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement will place American\u2019s code on 29 of IndiGo\u2019s domestic routes in India<\/a>, providing a convenient option for American Airlines customers coming on the carrier\u2019s new Bengaluru (BLR) and Delhi (DEL), India, flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. and Indian governments <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The codeshare, which will require U.S. and Indian governments\u2019 approvals, is expected to begin in October, as America launches a new service between New York (JFK) and DEL on Oct. 31 and between Seattle (SEA) and BLR on Jan. 4, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
