Union aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia unveiled the National Air Sports Policy 2022 <\/strong>on Tuesday, with the goal of making India a global centre for air sports by 2030. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aerobatics, aero modelling, and model rocketry, ballooning, drones, gliding, powered gliding, <\/strong>rotorcraft, hang gliding, parachuting, and para motoring <\/em>are among the 13 air sports now covered by the policy.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

 According to the government, the list of sports covered under the National Sports Policy<\/strong> will be updated as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The country’s geography and favourable weather are projected to act as catalysts in the development of the country’s air sports ecosystem<\/strong>, according to Scindia. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\"I believe we can target over Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000<\/strong> crore in annual revenue and produce over 1,00,000 direct jobs in India, starting with a small market size of roughly 5,000 odd sports practitioners generating around Rs 80-100 crore in yearly income.<\/strong> \n\nIn terms of travel, tourism, support services, and local infrastructure development, the economic multiplier advantages <\/strong>will be more than three times greater \"Scindia continued. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n

The policy also allows for the implementation of international safety best practises in areas .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In keeping with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat policy,<\/strong> it would also support the design, development, and manufacturing of air sports equipment in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
