As Covid19 cases have risen again, India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), <\/strong>has enforced the usage of masks on flights and airports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers who do not comply will be labelled “unruly<\/strong>” and may be deboarded prior to departure, according to the directive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Any passenger on board an aeroplane who refuses to use a weak mask or violates the \"Covid19 policy for passengers<\/strong>\" despite numerous warnings throughout the flight may be considered as a rowdy passenger,\" according to the regulator. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
The latest directive comes as India’s daily coronavirus infections have surpassed 5,000 for the first time in over three months. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a 24-hour period, 5,233 infections were recorded, with seven false positives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the regulation, all airlines should ensure that passengers use face masks when flying, as well as offer masks and sensitise passengers. <\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Repeated announcements on the same should be made at airports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the initial wave, the authorities had barred all local and foreign flights. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
