Alliance Air, <\/strong>a government-run airline, launched a four-day-a-week flight between Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who was in Kanker district at the time, virtually launched the first flight, <\/strong>which took off from Bilaspur’s Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport, around 125 kilometres from Raipur, the state capital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Alliance Air’s ATR 72-seater<\/strong> aircraft took off from Bilaspur at 11.35 a.m. on Sunday, carrying 50 passengers to Bhopal.<\/p>

It will be open four days a week (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), and will be open to the public<\/em> “Saransh Mittar, the Collector of Bilaspur, stated. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\"We have been putting forth every effort to improve air service in the state.\n\n The Ambikapur airport runway is being expanded at a cost of Rs 43 crore<\/strong>, and work on the project to build a commercial airport in Korba<\/strong> is also continuing \"Baghel remarked. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
He also mentioned that work on a plan to build an airfield in the Korea district is already ongoing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
