Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Minister of Civil Aviation<\/strong>, inaugurated two flights from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday, saying that 1.94 lakh flights were flown under the UDAN plan in the last six years, with over one crore people travelling. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stated that in the previous ten months, aviation traffic in Madhya Pradesh has surged by 70%<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi-Jabalpur-Bhopal-Gwalior (three times a week) and Delhi-Jabalpur-Bilaspur-Bhopal are among the newly launched flights (four days in a week). <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Scindia claimed that the number of flights in Madhya Pradesh has increased by 70%<\/strong> in the previous 10 months at a celebration conducted at the Dumna airport in Jabalpur.<\/strong>He claimed that the number of flight movements has climbed from 554 to 926 in the last ten months. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over one crore people travelled on 1.94 lakh aircraft conducted under the UDAN Scheme in the last six years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, this was made possible by the subsidy clause, <\/strong>which allows the common man to go by plane as well. \n\nThe new terminal building in Jabalpur contains modern amenities such as an aerobridge, a new apron, and a runway length increase from 2,000 metres to 2,800 metres to accommodate large jets.<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
 He stated that it would be ready by the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scindia had been to Manas Bhawan<\/strong> in Jabalpur earlier in the day for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual countrywide interaction with beneficiaries of Central Government Schemes. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
