SpiceJet has been fined Rs 10 lakh<\/strong> by the aviation regulator DGCA for training its Boeing 737 Max<\/strong> aircraft pilots using a malfunctioning simulator, which could have jeopardised flight safety<\/strong>, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After discovering that 90 SpiceJet pilots were not adequately qualified, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) <\/strong>stopped them from flying the Max aircraft last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, the regulator had issued a show-cause notice to the airline after prohibiting the pilots. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
The airline’s reaction was deemed unsatisfactory, according to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The airline’s training could have had a negative impact on flight safety, thus it was cancelled<\/strong>,” one of the people said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
According to sources, the DGCA has fined SpiceJet Rs 10 lakh<\/strong> for using a malfunctioning simulator to train the pilots of their Max aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
