The Adani Group, which handles seven airports in the country, is looking to invest in Mumbai-based Air Works Group, a 71-year-old firm that is India\u2019s biggest independent aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Works services IndiGo, GoAir<\/a>, and Vistara<\/a>, in addition to over a dozen foreign airlines including Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, FlyDubai, Etihad, and Virgin Atlantic. It also counts the Indian Navy among its customers. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supreme Court collegium in February <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Centre has cleared four of the six names of advocates recommended by the Supreme Court collegium in February for assignment as judges of the Madras High Cour<\/a>t. Airlines operator Indigo will have to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh charged by the country\u2019s aviation regulator for refusing boarding to a specially-abled child at Ranchi airport on May 7. The regulator said that special situations deserve extraordinary answers, but the airline\u2019s staff failed to rise to the occasion. The regulator also told it would revisit its regulations over denying boarding to passengers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
