Akasa Air <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> &#8220;<em>Our first aircraft should arrive in mid-June 2022. <\/em><\/p><p><em>The first aircraft will assist us in obtaining our operating licence, and proving flights will be conducted in accordance with regulatory standards prior to receiving the AOP (Air Operator Permit) <\/em>&#8220;Vinay Dube, the founder and managing director of Akasa Air, said in a statement to PTI.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He also stated that the airline plans to begin commercial operations in July 2022 and that it is on track to fly 18 aircraft by the end of March 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A proving flight is part of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation&#8217;s process for introducing a new aircraft type into an airline&#8217;s fleet. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can <strong>take off from one airport<\/strong> and land at another.
