Its nonstop airline services to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru are now available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Freighter services are also available to <em>Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.<\/em><\/p><p>In an interview with PTI, Ethiopian Airlines&#8217; Regional Director for India Subcontinent Tigist Eshetu said, &#8220;<strong>It is one of the essential destinations for Ethiopian Airlines&#8217; passenger and cargo flights.&#8221; <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Ethiopian Airlines began flying to Delhi from its main city of <strong>Addis Ababa in 1966,<\/strong> and then expanded to Mumbai in December 1971. Bengaluru was added to its network in late 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Ethiopian Airlines<\/strong> has been steadily increasing its frequency, adding new cities, and upgrading its aircraft in India. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"462\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Indigo-Plane-696x462-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20587\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Indigo-Plane-696x462-1.jpg 696w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Indigo-Plane-696x462-1-600x398.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Indigo-Plane-696x462-1-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><figcaption>Credits to indigo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>She predicts that this trend will continue in the future years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Eshetu, the airline plans to start service from Chennai on July 2 with three weekly flights, with either a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/boeing.com\">Boeing<\/a> 737 Max or a Boeing 787 Dreamliner <\/strong>depending on market demand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other destinations such as Ahmedabad and Hyderabad are also on the radar going forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;By leveraging our <strong>agility and diverse<\/strong> business strategy, we&#8217;ve been able to navigate through the COVID-19 turmoil.&#8221;<\/p><p> &#8220;When passenger numbers dwindled following the <strong>COVID epidemic, <\/strong>our freight business was important in generating a revenue stream,&#8221;
