However, on April 27, 2022, the American manufacturer announced that the <strong>first deliveries<\/strong> will be delayed until 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>The seven highly economical and fuel-efficient 787-9 passenger aircraft are intended to fill capacity gaps created by the Boeing 777-9&#8217;s delayed delivery,&#8221;<\/strong> Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA) said, adding that the Dreamliners, which were originally scheduled to go to other airlines, would arrive in 2025 and 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lufthansa Group purchases further state-of-the-art long-haul aircraft: 7x Boeing 787-9, 7x Boeing 777-8F, 3x Boeing 777F.
