Airasia has faced many challenges, but we have never given up. Airasia India has received approval today.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>&#8220;@MittuChandilya, our CEO, with an Air Operators permit. <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>That was an epic struggle.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong> It&#8217;s a proud day for me and all the other Airasia stars &#8220;<\/strong>In a subsequent tweet, Fernandes stated. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Chandilya tweeted: &#8220;Bang! Today, at 1815 IST, AirAsiaIndia was born. I am extremely proud of my team. Who is willing to revolutionise Indian air travel?&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;<strong>We are overjoyed to have received our licence, &#8220;<\/strong>Tony Fernandes, chief executive officer of AirAsia Group Bhd, said in a text message. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is a watershed moment for India<strong>. As a result, the government&#8217;s haste seems inexplicable.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He also stated that the &#8220;<strong>obscene speed&#8221; <\/strong>with which the licence was granted before a new administration was formed implied corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He argued that the aviation ministry is ignorant of the idea established by the <strong>Election Commission in executing its model code of conduct<\/strong>. Ltd an air operating permit on May 7th, 2014. \" class=\"wp-image-20366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/34e173c595b0e91fd1883723402eb535-toulouse-france-airbus-a.jpg 735w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/34e173c595b0e91fd1883723402eb535-toulouse-france-airbus-a-600x407.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/34e173c595b0e91fd1883723402eb535-toulouse-france-airbus-a-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px\" \/><figcaption>Image courtesy &#8211; avimag<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>On May 1, the Delhi high court ordered to form a special bench to examine Swamy&#8217;s appeals against the government&#8217;s approvals to operate AirAsia India. <\/p><p>The case will be heard by the bench on July 11th.<\/p><p> In addition to Swamy&#8217;s suit, the Federation of Indian Airlines has filed two other challenges to the approvals given to the Tata-AirAsia joint venture and a prospective Tata Sons-Singapore Airlines joint venture. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Kapil Kaul, chief executive officer (South Asia) at consultancy firm Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, or Capa, it took <strong>AirAsia 15 months to acquire regulatory permits after announcing the partnership <\/strong>in February 2013. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government permitted foreign airlines to <em>invest up to 49 percent in domestic airlines<\/em> in September 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foreign investors, but not airlines, were previously allowed to own up to 49 percent of local carriers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">Even though it confronts legal hurdles, AirAsia India has reached a crucial procedural milestone, according to Peeyush Naidu, director at consultancy company Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. \n\nIn its early phase, AirAsia is projected to establish several strong new regional lines with low rates, according to Naidu. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Within a year of starting operations, AirAsia India expects to have a <strong>10-plane fleet, with the jets coming from the AirAsia Group&#8217;s A-320 series <\/strong>of aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"608\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/airasiafirst-a320neo-delivered-1.jpg\" alt=\"The regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation issued AirAsia (India) Pvt.
