<\/strong>were allegedly caught on a frequency intended for emergency calls using <em>harsh language over compensation difficulties.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 9, these pilots were allegedly caught using harsh language on the <strong>121.5 MHz band<\/strong>, which is only used for emergency <em>communications for planes in difficulty, to vent their rage over poor pay. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"684\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image_2019_06_14T11_52_21_718Z.jpg\" alt=\"7 IndiGo pilots were allegedly caught on a frequency intended for emergency calls using harsh Directorate General of Civil Aviation <strong>(DGCA)<\/strong> has begun an investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>According to the sources, IndiGo has yet to issue a statement on the matter. <\/p><p>Air traffic controllers in the vicinity of the aircraft must monitor the frequency 121.5 MHz, which is utilised for emergency communications. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>123.45 MHz frequency<\/strong>, which is not monitored by air traffic controllers, is used for <strong>air-to-air communication <\/strong>between pilots of various aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"569\" https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/indigo-1200.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\"><strong>IndiGo<\/strong> had dismissed a few pilots who were organising a strike on April 5 to protest <strong>wage cuts imposed <\/strong>during the COVID-19 epidemic only days before the incident. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline has lowered the salary of its pilots by up to <em>30% during the peak of the pandemic<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IndiGo said on April 1 that it would <strong>increase pilot compensation by 8%, <\/strong>with a further 6.5 percent increase planned for November if no interruptions occur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay connected with
