India’s daily air passenger count surpassed 400,000<\/strong> on Monday, the most since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who called it a “historic day” <\/strong>for the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After #COVID19, we broke the 4 lakh daily passenger mark today; it’s a momentous day for the Civil Aviation Ministry,” Scindia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am confident that we will retain this record in the following days,” he continued.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Union minister also stated that the ministry has released new guidelines for international and domestic flight passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"For international traffic, we've worked with the Health Ministry to develop standards that require either immunisation certificates or an RTPCR test to be submitted 72 hours before to travel,\" Scindia was reported as adding.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

Domestic fliers will no longer need an RT-PCR negative report<\/strong>, according to the minister. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
 State governments, on the other hand, can make some revisions to the guidelines in light of the current Covid-19 scenario, he noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
