On approach to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, <\/strong>pilots of an Air France Boeing 777 encountered issues with the aircraft’s controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 5, 2022, the Boeing<\/a> 777-300ER registration F-GSQJ<\/strong> flew flight AF011 from New York-JFK to Paris-CDG. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the pilots reported an issue to the air traffic controller,<\/strong> the aeroplane was on final approach to runway 26L<\/strong>.\n\n The plane appeared to be unresponsive to the crew's commands and was drifting left wildly.<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
The crew can be heard fighting and yelling “Stop, stop<\/strong>” while alerts play in the flight deck, according to ATC recordings posted online.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
At roughly 1,200 feet, the pilots regained control<\/strong> of the plane (370 meters). They eventually landed on runway 27R without incident after performing a go-around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were no injuries or damage to the Boeing 777. <\/p>

The aircraft is equipped for a maximum of 296 passengers, though the exact number has not been revealed.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) <\/strong>has launched an investigation into the occurrence, which is being treated as a serious incident. – Air France<\/p>\n\n\n\n
 For analysis, the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder <\/em>were recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
