However, a statement sourced from&nbsp;the&nbsp;flight tracking portal Flightradar24 showed that the airline, which works for a flight on the Delhi-Moscow route every Sunday and Thursday, had revoked the April 3 service as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India renews the insurance for its flights and aircraft every financial year starting April 1. Russia\u2019s airlines were also barred from using foreign airspace.&nbsp;After&nbsp;these sanctions, Air India was among the only few airlines, in addition to some Chinese carriers, that were still flying to Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-us-and-canada-stopped-using-russian-airspace\">US and Canada stopped using Russian airspace <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, while airlines from the US and Canada stopped operating in Russian airspace, Air India continued to overfly Russia for its flights between India and the US taking the shorter North Pole route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">The insurance companies have only flagged a concern over aircraft landing in Russia, not with\u00a0the\u00a0overflight through the Russian airspace.
