The Russian Aerospace Forces’ Sukhoi<\/a> Su-35 Flanker-E fighter plane <\/strong>was shot down near Izium, in eastern Ukraine, around 120 kilometres southeast of Kharkiv<\/strong>, according to Ukrainian media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs<\/strong> advisor, the Russian military plane was shot down on April 3, 2022, after it was hit by a Ukrainian Armed Forces missile. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fighter quickly caught fire and collapsed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On social media, Anton Gerashchenko<\/strong> posted a photo of the downed jet and stated that the pilot ejected from the plane but was later captured. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today near Izyum, a Su-35 was shot down,” Gerashchenko stated. <\/p>

“The damage [to Russians] is worth $50 million.” <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 143 Russian planes and 134 helicopters were shot<\/strong> down during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
