IndiGo<\/a> announced on Thursday that pilot salaries have been increased by 8% in response to the company’s continuous steady flight operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the COVID-19 outbreak on March 27, full regular international flight services resumed in India. On October 18, last year, full-service domestic flights resumed in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Now that we have established continuous steady operations, on behalf of our managing director, the board of directors, and the senior leadership team, I am pleased to announce an eight percent increase in the salaries of all our pilots effective April 1”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>said Ashim Mittra, senior vice-president (flight operations), IndiGo, in a communique to pilots<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He stated that the airline’s human resources team would share the revised salary structure in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Furthermore, as we look forward to a positive revenue environment and, hopefully, no further interruptions to operations,”<\/em><\/strong> Mittra added, “we also plan to implement an additional 6.5 percent revision with effect from November 1.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
