Monday that <strong>76.96 lakh<\/strong> domestic passengers flew in February, up 20% from 64.08 lakh in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">The February data indicates that the domestic aviation sector is <strong>recovering<\/strong> following a <strong>43 percent drop<\/strong> in January due to the Omicron coronavirus type.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In December of previous year, 1.12 million domestic travellers flew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA<\/strong>) said in its monthly statement that passenger load factors \u2014 or <strong>occupancy rates <\/strong>\u2014 increased for all Indian carriers in February compared to January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>SpiceJet, IndiGo, Vistara, Go First, Air India, and AirAsia<\/strong> India&#8217;s load factors in February 2022 were 89.1 percent, 85.2 percent, 87.1 percent, 87 percent, 84.1 percent, and 83.2 percent, respectively.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The occupancy rates of these carriers, however, were <em>73.4 percent, 66.6 percent, 61.6 percent, 66.7 percent, 60.6 percent, and 60.5 percent in January 2022, according to the report.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel restrictions enacted in India and other countries in response to the <strong>Covid outbreak have had a substantial impact<\/strong> on the aviation sector in the last two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>IndiGo<\/strong>, India&#8217;s largest airline, transported 39.51 lakh passengers in February, accounting for <strong>51.3 percent of the domestic market<\/strong>, according to the DGCA.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>According to DGCA data, <strong>SpiceJet<\/strong> carried 8.2 lakh passengers and Air India carried 8.55 lakh passengers in February.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>According to the report, <strong>Vistara, Go First, AirAsia India, and Alliance Air <\/strong>carried 7.49 lakh, 7.34 lakh, 4.46 lakh, and 1.12 lakh passengers in February, respectively.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"510\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1589177988_hardeep-singh-puri-tweets-picture-of-repatriation-flight.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">IndiGo had the best on-time record of 95.4 percent in February at four metro airports \u2013 <strong>Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, <\/strong>according to DGCA data.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/dgca.gov.in\">DGCA<\/a>, <strong>Go First and Vistara were in
