Union called <strong>off the indefinite strike.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">A meeting with the new administration and the <strong>Assistant Labour Commissioner<\/strong> (Central) was held last month, during which the former agreed to the union's demands.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"739\" height=\"415\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1368672-images-2022-01-11t120145135.jpg\" alt=\"Air India Express agreed to renew the cabin crew contract for five years, which had been reduced to one year by the management\" class=\"wp-image-18734\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1368672-images-2022-01-11t120145135.jpg 739w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1368672-images-2022-01-11t120145135-600x337.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/1368672-images-2022-01-11t120145135-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 739px) 100vw, 739px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In a statement, AIXEU (BMS) president KK Vijayakumar said<strong>, <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>&#8220;The management decided to prolong the cabin crew contract period for five years as per company policy, subject to qualifying requirements and regulations of the firm.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">\"The management also decided to offer <strong>Basil K Paulose, <\/strong>a member of the crew, the job of ground staff, as suggested by the disabilities panel.\" \n\nA new contract has been offered to him. \n\n\"The union has withdrawn the scheduled <strong>indefinite strike <\/strong>as a result of the management decision,\" he added.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"625\" height=\"468\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/fifdnjcuyaavxhb.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/fifdnjcuyaavxhb.jpg 625w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/fifdnjcuyaavxhb-600x449.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/fifdnjcuyaavxhb-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>AIE cabin crew<\/strong> claimed that management had abruptly decreased the staff&#8217;s contract period to one year with no reason. <\/li><li>&#8220;In 2020, the cabin crew was a part of the Vande Bharat expedition and Operation Ganga.<\/li><li> &#8220;<strong>We&#8217;re delighted the Tata management extended our contracts to five years, as the previous management did not<\/strong>,&#8221;
