S7 Airlines<\/strong>, Russia ‘s second-largest airline, has declared that all international flights<\/strong> will be cancelled as of March 5, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement was made on the company’s Telegram channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Affected passengers are receiving alerts from the airline, and our specialists are assisting them in the S7 Airlines <\/strong>representative offices. <\/p>

They assist travellers in returning home on our partners’ flights<\/strong>,” the airline noted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

  • S7 has been steadily shrinking<\/strong> its network since Russia initiated its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.<\/li>
  • Flights to Ukraine and neighbouring territories were cancelled<\/strong> on the first day of the invasion, and flights to a number of European nations<\/strong> were halted after Russia announced a slew of sanctions in the days that followed.<\/li>
  • After Aeroflot, S7 Airlines<\/strong> is Russia’s second-largest airline. <\/li>
  • It has its headquarters in Novosibirsk and flies narrowbody aircraft from the Airbus A320<\/strong>, Boeing 737, and Embraer E-Jet families.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Except for flights to China, South Korea, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, S7 operated flights to China, South Korea, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The airline has not stated why it has decided to cancel all overseas flights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
