Embraer and GE Aviation, both of Brazil, have joined Boeing and Airbus in stopping support <\/strong>for Russian airlines in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Embraer<\/strong> has been cooperating, and will continue to comply, with international sanctions placed on Russia and some regions of Ukraine by withholding parts, maintenance, and technical support services for clients affected by sanctions<\/em>,” Embraer said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

  • S7 \u2013 Siberia Airlines<\/strong>, Russia’s second-largest airline by aircraft fleet, operates 17 Embraer ERJ-170 jets.<\/li>
  • Pegas Fly, a low-cost carrier, operates a fleet of six Embraer ERJ-190 planes.<\/li>
  • Meanwhile, GE Aviation (a subsidiary of General Electric)<\/strong>, a US-based aircraft engine provider, told Reuters that it has also halted support for Russian airlines. <\/li>
  • The corporation did not say what kind of support it was discontinuing.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    “GE is closely watching the situation in Ukraine and assessing the impact of US, UK, and EU sanctions on GE business activities and customers,” GE Aviation noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “In accordance with US, UK, and EU sanctions, GE has temporarily suspended support for airlines in Russia,<\/strong>” it added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    Carsten Spohr, CEO of Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA), <\/strong>said that the company's maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) arm, Lufthansa Technik, is suspending services for the time being.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
