Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the ban in parliament and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caa.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">UK Civil Aviation Authority told<\/a> it had suspended Aeroflot&#8217;s foreign carrier permit. &#8220;This means that Aeroflot will not be permitted to operate flights to the United Kingdom until further notice,&#8221; the UK Civil Aviation Authority told.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A government official told the coordinated sanctions would knock percentage points off the Russian economy in the next 12 to 18 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the 10-point sanctions package, the British government told it would impose an asset freeze on some major Russian banks, including state-owned VTB, its second-biggest bank, and stop major Russian companies from raising finance in Britain. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-russia-joining-the-united-states-and\">Russia, joining the United States and <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A day after Moscow released airstrikes on Ukraine, Russian diplomats were banned from priority access to the European Union (EU).
