Air India\u2019s reunion with\u00a0Tata Group\u00a0after over six decades got Bollywood legend\u00a0Amitabh Bachchan\u00a0nostalgic. <\/strong>The 79-year-old actor took to his Twitter account to share a glimpse of his younger days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amitabh Bachchan went on to remember a banner ad in the late 50s on a building in Connaught Place, in New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The legendary actor took his followers back in time when he would pass by the banner to reach his university. \n\nThe Padma Vibhushan awardee shared the tagline of\u00a0Air India<\/a>\u00a0from the \u201850s - \u2018There\u2019s an air about India!\u2019. \n<\/strong>\nThe veteran actor ended his short tweet by praising\u00a0Bobby Kooka\u00a0saying \u201cBobby Kooka at his best.\u201d<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n

After nearly 69 years, Air India returned to the Tata fold on January 27. <\/p>
The airline was the brainchild of industrialist, philanthropist and India\u2019s first licensed pilot,\u00a0JRD Tata. <\/p>
The company was established in 1932.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sorab Kaikushroo Kooka, popularly known as Bobby Kooka, is considered to be one of India\u2019s first marketing geniuses. He began his journey with the airliner in 1932. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He went on to spin taglines for the iconic mascot of Air India, the Maharajah<\/strong>. \n\nKooka is credited with the witty, humorous taglines that were seen on Air India ad campaigns in its earlier days.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe can call him the Maharajah for want of a better description. But his blood isn\u2019t blue. <\/p>
He may look like royalty, but he isn\u2019t royal. He is capable of entertaining the Queen of England and splitting a beer with her butler. <\/p>
He is a man of many parts: lover boy, sumo wrestler, pavement artist, vendor of naughty post cards, Capuchin monk, Arab merchant\u2026\u201d, in Bobby Kooka\u2019s own words according to the book \u2018Tata Stories\u2019 written by Harish Bhat. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Based on 'Tata Stories', Kooka conceptualised Maharaja when he was serving as the secretary at Tata Airlines much before it became Air India.\n\n Kooka envisioned the Maharaja to be 'an oriental potentate, sitting on a magic carpet, smoking a bubble hooka'. <\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
He later developed it further and turned it into the form of Maharaja with the help of Umesh Rao of JWT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
