Hybrid electric propulsion system tests will be done at Aurora\u2019s headquarters in Manassas, Virginia, the United States.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201c<em>We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Boeing to advance hybrid electric and electric propulsion systems &#8221; <\/em><\/p><cite>Mohamed Ali, vice president and general manager of engineering for GEAviation. <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">These tests are a part of NASA\u2019s<strong> Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) <\/strong>project, which envisions taking components and systems that can be improved and demonstrated in flight.\n\n <strong>NASA has selected GE Aviation<\/strong> to support this project in 2021.\u00a0<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201c<strong>NASA\u2019s Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration<\/strong> project is an opportunity for GE Aviation and Boeing, world leaders in aviation technologies, to show hybrid electric propulsion is real and possible for the future of commercial flight to <strong>reduce carbon emissions,\u201d<\/strong> Ali added.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>GEAviation has developed hybrid-electric propulsion systems, including <ol><li>motors,<\/li><li> generators, <\/li><li>power converters, <\/li><li>and power management systems.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure
