As New Zealand prepares to reopen its international borders by the end of February 2022, its flag carrier, Air New Zealand, continues its cabin crew recruitment drive<\/strong> to match the expected travel demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 200 Air New Zealand<\/a> crew with temporary work agreements have now signed permanent contracts, the Flight Attendants <\/strong>Association told local media.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline is also seeking applications for permanent regional cabin crew at its Napier, Nelson, New Plymouth and Tauranga bases.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Air New Zealand chief people officer Nikki Dines<\/strong> told local media that the newly created permanent roles were for existing crew who had been with the business on fixed-term agreements<\/strong> and had been operating on aircraft throughout the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline was\u00a0recruiting\u00a0for its domestic network and looking at opportunities <\/strong>for existing domestic crew to move to widebody aircraft when the border started to open and international travel returned,<\/em> she said.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAny external recruitment will be driven by network demand and a relaxation of international border settings which we expect will then allow us to start welcoming back some of our previous crew members who were sadly impacted by Covid-19″<\/em><\/strong><\/p>Dines said<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
On its website, the airline has a total of 56 roles ranging from flight attendant to software engineer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The site also states that job candidates must be entitled to live and work\u202fpermanently<\/strong>\u202fin New Zealand, and a minimum\u202fof two years\u2019 customer service experience is preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
