Find out more: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7FSkqYMpVU\">https:\/\/t.co\/7FSkqYMpVU<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QuXdy0Yb7s\">pic.twitter.com\/QuXdy0Yb7s<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Qantas (@Qantas) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Qantas\/status\/1487979862866665473?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 31, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Called the<strong> Qantas Group Flight Training Center,<\/strong> it has the capacity to train up to <ul><li>900 pilots every year, <\/li><li>and has four aircraft simulators<ul><li><em>Boeing 737, 767F and 787 Dreamliner and Dash-8 Q400 \u2013 as well as a Q400 flight training device.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The simulators are used by pilots to <strong>complete four annual sessions of simulator training and specialized training<\/strong> when moving to a new aircraft type. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>The opening of the new training facility in Brisbane is an addition to the airline\u2019s expanded training center in Melbourne, and a new flight center that will be built in Sydney. <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This will provide significant <strong>cost savings for Qantas, <\/strong>as the majority of its pilots are based in those three eastern states.<\/li><li>The Brisbane facility will provide recurrent training for <strong>more than 500 pilots<\/strong> based in Queensland as well as pilots from other states and new recruits.<\/li><li>The facility will also be open for hire by other airlines in the Asia Pacific region to<ul><li> <em>train newly recruited pilots, <\/em><\/li><li><em>upskill pilots to new aircraft types <\/em><\/li><li><em>and allow experienced pilots to maintain their ongoing training.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"701\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/qantas_new_pilot_training_bne-1024x701.jpeg\" alt=\"Australian carrier Qantas has opened a new pilot training facility adjacent to Brisbane Airport.
