Besides, executing new strategies to improve the airline`s OTP (On Time Performance) standards is also on the cards.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from operating standards, improvements are expected to occur in in-flight services, such as better choices of meals. Notably, the aim is to enhance the overall passenger happening on at least a few domestic and international flights, to start with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, group employees from other entities are anticipated to be sent to Air India on deputation to manage the implementation of these plans. Additionally, recent board members would be roped in to provide strategic direction to the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chairman-of-tata-group\">Chairman of Tata Group <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently, management control of national carrier<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airindia.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\"> Air India<\/a> is set to be handed over to a subsidiary of Tata Sons. The Chairman of Tata Group, N. Earlier this week, in a communication to the airline&#8217;s employees, a senior <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airindia.in\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Air India<\/a> official wrote: &#8220;The disinvestment of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airindia.in\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"> Air India <\/a>is now fixed to be on January 27, 2022.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The closing balance sheet as of January 20 has to be given today, i.e., January 24, so that it can be reviewed by Tatas and any changes can be effected on Wednesday.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The communication further read: &#8220;The next three days will be hectic for our department, and I ask all of you to present your best in these last three-four days before we get divested. We may have to operate till late in the night to end the task given to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, the Competition Commission of India approved the acquisition of Air India, Air India Express, and Air India SATS Airport Services by Talace, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\"> Tata Sons<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-air-india-and-air-india-express-and-50-percent-for\">Air India and Air India Express and 50 percent for <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquisition envisaged 100 percent equity share capital of Air India and Air India Express and 50 percent for Air India SATS Airport Services by Talace.
