The <strong>single-aisle<\/strong> model jets are in popular demand, with the earliest availability for the aircraft only in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-1024x769.jpg\" alt=\"Airbus is turning up the heat in the latest chapter in its dispute with Qatar Airways over grounded A350 jets.\" class=\"wp-image-16998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-1024x769.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-1536x1153.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-750x563.jpg 750w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1-1140x856.jpg 1140w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/A321neoACF-QatarAirways-CFM-1.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Qatar Airways A321neo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\"> This move is not only expected to widen the rift between Airbus and Qatar Airways, but will also put pressure on the airline as Qatar prepares to host the <strong>World Cup soccer event<\/strong> in November 2022.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>The long-running row between Air bus and Qatar Airways legally began in early December 2021, when Airbus decided to seek independent legal assessments over the airline\u2019s grievances about its fleet of A350 aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In a speaking engagement in December 2021, the airline\u2019s head and <strong>CEO Akbar Al Bakr<\/strong>  said that Airbus needs to admit that it had a problem with flaws on the surface of its A350 jets and ruled out buying freighter planes from the European aircraft manufacturing company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 20, 2021, <strong>Qatar Airways <\/strong>announced that it had started legal proceedings against Airbus in a UK court in order to resolve a dispute over the <strong>A350\u2019s fuselage<\/strong> surface degradation. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> \u201c<em>We have sadly failed in all our attempts to reach a constructive solution with Airbus in relation to the accelerated surface degradation condition adversely impacting the Airbus A350 aircraft<\/em>\u201d <\/p><cite> Doha-based airline said in a statement back in December 2021. <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\u201cQatar Airways has therefore been left with no alternative but to seek a rapid resolution of this dispute via the courts.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"670\" height=\"446\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/3028316-820686856-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16999\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/3028316-820686856-1.jpeg 670w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/3028316-820686856-1-600x399.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/3028316-820686856-1-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 670px) 100vw, 670px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On January 6, 2022, <strong>London High Court <\/strong>documents seen by Reuters showed that Qatar Airways is requesting the amount of <strong>$618 million from Airbus <\/strong>over the surface quality of the A350.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports by Bloomberg, documents prepared by Airbus for a London court hearing on January 20, 2022 say that, \u201c<strong>There is no reasonable or rational basis\u201d <\/strong>for Qatari regulators to have grounded 21 of the A350s operated by the state-owned carrier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Airbus will contend that Qatar Airways \u201c<strong>sought to engineer or has acquiesced\u201d<\/strong> in the A350 groundings because it\u2019s in the airline\u2019s interest to keep its planes idle \u201c<strong>given the impact of the coronavirus pandemic<\/strong>\u201d on demand. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay connected with Aviation a2z.
