The plant is going to produce SAF and renewable diesel from ethanol, which the company claims is going to be acquired from <strong>low-carbon, sustainable sources, such as waste. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWe set a bold ambition to support the <em>White House with a goal of 1 billion gallons of sustainable fuels by 2030&#8243; <\/em><\/p><cite>Jimmy Samartzis, the CEO of LanzaJet, is quoted in the company\u2019s press release. <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">\u201cWith Microsoft\u2019s support, this <strong>first plant significantly expands the production of sustainable fuels<\/strong> in the US, establishes Georgia as a leader in clean tech, and is the foundation for us as the first <strong>alcohol-to-jet sustainable fuels producer,<\/strong> and as a blueprint for the commercial plants we\u2019re developing globally.\u201d <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original.png\" alt=\"LanzaJet, a US-based SAF producer, has received an investment from the Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund. \" class=\"wp-image-16847\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original.png 900w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original-600x400.png 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/lanzajet_bio_fuel_crop.original-750x500.png 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>According to LanzaJet, the <strong>Freedom Pines Fuels plant<\/strong> is due to be completed in 2022, and start producing up to <strong>10 million gallons<\/strong> (around 38 million liters) of SAF and renewable diesel per year starting from 2023. <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Microsoft, part of the plant\u2019s production will be used by the company, helping it reach its goal of becoming <strong>carbon-negative by 2030. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay Updated with us.
