After departure, the flight turned to the south, climbing to flight level 41,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Just 40 minutes later, at 19:13, the aircraft started to squawk 7700, the code for an emergency.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft then started a rapid descent, which slowed slightly at around 10,000 feet. According to RadarBox\u2019s data, the aircraft\u2019s rate of descent reached -6,100 feet per minute at its highest. And has a current estimated market value of <strong>$18.61 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">Both the AvHearld and&nbsp;The Independent&nbsp;are reporting that a fire was observed within the aircraft\u2019s cabin, though this is yet to be verified by the airline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Passengers board a replacement flight<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\">Two hours after the incident aircraft landed at Brest, a replacement aircraft departed from <strong>London Stansted Airport.<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;This is <strong>Ryanair\u2019s largest base, meaning that crew and aircraft are typically available on stan<\/strong>dby if needed for such flights. EI-DLF flew down to the French coast, where it landed around an hour later. It then remained on the ground in.
