He said the addition of Navi Mumbai would help customers access reliable capacity and connect with the carrier’s wider global network.

The winter schedule will also strengthen cargo access to southern India. SWISS WorldCargo will add Bengaluru to its route network from Zurich, giving customers another European hub for shipments moving between India and international markets.

Photo: wilco737 | Flickr

Asia-Pacific Routes Expand

Lufthansa Cargo plans to offer up to 46 weekly freighter rotations serving 17 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region.

The expansion includes additional intra-Asian and transpacific connectivity to meet cargo demand across major manufacturing and trade markets.

One significant change is the addition of Singapore (SIN) to the existing Frankfurt (FRA)–Taipei (TPE) freighter rotation. This will provide customers with another intra-Asian connection and additional main-deck cargo capacity within the region.

The carrier will also retain several services introduced or expanded during the summer schedule. Flights from Frankfurt via Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Shanghai (PVG) to Los Angeles (LAX) will continue to operate two days per week, while additional Frankfurt services to Taipei and Chengdu (CTU) will each operate three days per week.

Freight services between Almaty (ALA) and Frankfurt will also resume, restoring another connection between Central Asia and Lufthansa Cargo’s European network.

Photo: By MarcelX42 – Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=133211643

Global Network Changes for Lufthansa Cargo

Across North America, Lufthansa Cargo will increase frequencies to three destinations. Lufthansa Airlines will serve Kuala Lumpur (KUL) five times weekly, while ITA Airways plans to introduce Santo Domingo (SDQ) in November with two weekly long-haul flights.

Across its six European hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Brussels, Rome and Zurich, Lufthansa Cargo will continue to provide access to approximately 7,500 flights serving 350 destinations.

Alongside its own freighter fleet, the company markets cargo capacity on passenger flights operated by several Lufthansa Group airlines and SunExpress, allowing customers to use a broader network of freight connections.

Stay tuned with us.
