Wikimedia Commons\">FlyingJay Photography; Wikimedia Commons<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-seven-cuba-destinations-now-removed\">Seven Cuba Destinations Now Removed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuba accounts for seven of the 13 international destinations removed from WestJet\u2019s network: Cayo Coco, Cienfuegos, Cayo Largo del Sur, Havana, Holgu\u00edn, Santa Clara and Varadero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WestJet began winding down its Cuban operations in February after fuel shortages and disruptions to essential services affected the operating environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline later announced an indefinite suspension of all flights to Cuba, confirming that services would remain suspended until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several of the affected Cuban markets had been part of WestJet\u2019s network for many years. Cayo Coco, Holgu\u00edn and Varadero had been served since 2009, while Santa Clara joined the network in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remaining cuts include San Andr\u00e9s Island, Colombia, which ended in March, and Lihue, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Hawaii\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hawaii<\/a>, which ended in April. WestJet\u2019s Calgary\u2013Guadalajara route began on December 7, 2025, as part of the airline\u2019s expansion from its Calgary hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service is scheduled to operate for the final time on October 18, 2026. Flight WS2278 is scheduled to leave Calgary at 9:20 a.m. for Guadalajara, while WS2279 returns at 3:25 p.m., with a Boeing 737-800 planned for the final rotation,<a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/westjet-cancels-flights-to-13-international-destinations-see-full-list-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"> Simple Flying<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WestJet\u2019s 2026 international withdrawals therefore span 13 destinations across four major regions, showing a significant reshaping of its network while the carrier continues to adjust capacity and respond to operating costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
