TORONTO\u2014<\/strong> Air Canada (AC)<\/a> will resume nonstop flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)<\/a> and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)<\/a> on November 30, bringing forward the planned return of its Israel service by several weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline had previously scheduled the route to restart on January 17, 2027, but has now moved the resumption to the start of the winter travel season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canadian carrier will operate four weekly flights between Toronto and Tel Aviv using Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada said the decision followed a review of operational, safety and security considerations in the region, restoring a direct Canada-Israel connection after its prolonged suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toronto Tel Aviv Route Resumes for Canada<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The resumed service will give passengers a direct connection between Canada and Israel at a time when several international airlines are gradually rebuilding their schedules to Tel Aviv. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Air Canada service will be the only nonstop route between Canada and Israel when it returns, following the withdrawal of El Al<\/a> from the Toronto market in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada had repeatedly extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv after the regional security situation forced changes to international airline schedules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its latest decision represents an earlier return than originally planned, although the airline said it would continue to assess conditions surrounding the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route will also reconnect Tel Aviv with Air Canada’s wider North American network through Toronto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline’s booking system is already displaying Tel Aviv-Toronto<\/a> fares for November and December, indicating that the route is being prepared for the revised operating date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Operations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada will use both versions of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner<\/a> family on the route, giving the carrier flexibility as it restores four weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 787-8 and 787-9 are long-haul aircraft suited to the nonstop Toronto-Tel Aviv operation and form an important part of Air Canada’s international fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-weekly schedule will provide a regular direct option for travelers between the two markets without requiring a connection through another European or Middle Eastern airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The return of the service also adds capacity to a market that has experienced significant changes in international connectivity during the suspension period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada’s announcement comes shortly after the airline’s latest review of conditions in the region. The carrier said the decision followed a detailed assessment rather than simply a change to its commercial schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airlines Are Returning to Israel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada’s move follows the return of major US carriers to Tel Aviv. Delta Air Lines restarted daily service between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv on September 6 using the Airbus A330-900neo, while United Airlines also resumed service from the United States in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European connectivity is also being rebuilt. Scandinavian Airlines plans to resume four weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Copenhagen from October 26, while Wizz Air has increased its flight frequency to and from Israel, Globes<\/a> flagged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
