After becoming airborne, the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=787\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boeing 787-9<\/a> did not follow the expected routing and instead turned northbound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unexpected turn took the aircraft across the departure corridors associated with LAX&#8217;s two northern runways. The flight was subsequently cleared direct to Malibu and instructed to climb to 7,000 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crew acknowledged the revised routing and altitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Wrong turn after takeoff. The controller also provided the crew with an LAX telephone number in connection with the possible <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Pilot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pilot deviation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The available radio exchange does not indicate that the aircraft encountered an emergency or that the flight was unable to continue normally.
