The approval follows years of lobbying by Emirates, which faced strong opposition from Lufthansa<\/a>. The airline can now add Berlin to its German network without giving up one of its existing destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Secures Long-Sought Berlin Flight Rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emirates has finally secured permission to operate nonstop flights between its Dubai hub and Berlin after years of negotiations and lobbying over access to Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The German Ministry of Transport approved the additional traffic rights during the official state visit of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
