The new routes will expand affordable travel between Central Florida and Colombia, with introductory fares starting at $99 and service frequencies ranging from weekly to daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontier Airlines Opens Its First Colombia Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Frontier Airlines (F9) will begin its first-ever scheduled service to South America in December 2026, linking Orlando International Airport (MCO)<\/a> with 3 destinations in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new routes will serve El Dorado International Airport in Bogot\u00e1 (BOG), Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda C\u00f3rdova International Airport in Medell\u00edn (MDE), and Rafael N\u00fa\u00f1ez International Airport in Cartagena (CTG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion represents a significant step in Frontier’s international growth strategy and adds three Colombian destinations to its network from Orlando. The airline said it sees strong unmet demand for low-cost travel between Orlando and Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontier stated that the new services are subject to government approval. Flight frequencies and operating times may also change, so travelers should verify the latest schedule and fare information with Frontier before booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bogot\u00e1 service will follow on December 14, initially operating 6 times per week before increasing to daily service on March 6, 2027. Demand Between Orlando and Colombia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tyri Squyres, Frontier Airlines’ vice president of public and consumer affairs, described the Colombia launch as an important milestone for the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said Frontier believes a strong, unmet market exists for low-cost travel between Orlando and Colombia and that the new flights will provide more affordable options for travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion also received support from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, which operates Orlando International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lance Lyttle, the authority’s chief executive officer, said the new nonstop services will expand traveler choice, strengthen Orlando’s connectivity with Colombia, and reflect demand for affordable international travel between Central Florida and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new services give Orlando travelers direct access to Colombia’s capital as well as Medell\u00edn and Cartagena without requiring a connecting flight through another gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Routes Arrive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Colombia expansion comes as Frontier continues to introduce changes under its \u201cThe New Frontier\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has made several updates to its seating, loyalty, and customer offerings while continuing to position itself around affordable air travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UpFront Plus Adds More Space<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

UpFront Plus is Frontier’s upgraded seating option in the first 2 rows of the aircraft. The product provides additional legroom and elbow room, along with a guaranteed empty middle seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers purchasing UpFront Plus receive a window or aisle seat, giving them additional personal space compared with standard seating options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontier Plans First Class Seating<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Colombia Service Launch Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
