MONTREAL-<\/strong> Air Canada (AC)<\/a> is expanding its international network for Summer 2027 with new routes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), and Montr\u00e9al-Trudeau International Airport (YUL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will add services to Guangzhou (CAN), Oslo (OSL), Shannon (SNN), Nice (NCE), Basel-Mulhouse (BSL), and Dubrovnik (DBV), while also increasing frequencies and extending several existing international services to year-round operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada Strengthens Its Three-Hub International Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada\u2019s Summer 2027 expansion will build on its three major Canadian hubs in Vancouver<\/a>, Toronto and Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline plans to operate more than 125 international routes, offering up to 169,000 seats each week from Canada to more than 85 international destinations across the Atlantic, Pacific, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier expects available seat miles across these regions to increase by more than 8% compared with Summer 2026. The expansion also supports Air Canada\u2019s long-term growth strategy, which the airline expects will create more than 1,500 additional direct jobs<\/strong> by 2028 and increase its annual contribution to Canada\u2019s GDP by more than $7 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Mark Galardo<\/strong> described Summer 2027 as the airline\u2019s most extensive intercontinental expansion to date. He said the network changes are intended to strengthen Canada\u2019s role as a connecting point for international travel, trade and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vancouver Adds Nonstop Guangzhou Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada will launch year-round service between Vancouver (YVR) and Guangzhou (CAN), adding the Chinese city as its third destination in mainland China<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline says it will be the only North American carrier serving Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province and a major commercial center in the Pearl River Delta. The route will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft<\/a> equipped with Air Canada Signature, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service will also provide connections at Vancouver to destinations across North America. Air Canada says it will operate up to 24 weekly frequencies to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
