ST. LOUIS\u2014<\/strong> Boeing has secured a major US defence contract with a ceiling value of $131.23 billion<\/strong> to support the F-15 Eagle<\/a> Crest programme, strengthening its role in producing, upgrading and sustaining the long-serving fighter fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The US Department of War awarded the indefinite-delivery\/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract on August 24, covering work for the Air Force<\/a>, Air National Guard and other Department of War customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, where Boeing has a major F-15 production and support operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contract will also support Foreign Military Sales involving Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Poland, extending the programme\u2019s reach across several international F-15 operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F-15 Contract Scope and Modernization Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Eagle Crest agreement covers a broad range of activities rather than a single aircraft order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing will handle aircraft production, systems integration, modernization, upgrades, retrofits, and sustainment, while also establishing organic depot maintenance capabilities for the F-15 Eagle Weapon System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrangement is structured as an IDIQ contract, meaning the $131.23 billion figure represents the maximum potential value rather than an immediate payment to Boeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual orders can be placed during the ordering period as the US government and eligible customers require aircraft, modifications, equipment, or support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial ordering period is scheduled to run until August 24, 2031. The government can extend that period through August 24, 2036, while the overall work is expected to continue until August 2037.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global F-15 Support Across Allies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The contract includes Foreign Military Sales to seven countries, giving Boeing a framework to support both US-operated and allied F-15 fleets. The participating countries listed in the award are Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing has recently won other major F-15 contracts, highlighting continued international demand for the platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2026, the company received a contract valued at up to $2.8 billion to modernize South Korea\u2019s F-15K fleet, with work focused on developing an integrated suite of aircraft systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December 2025, Boeing also received an $8.6 billion contract for Israel\u2019s F-15 programme. That agreement covers the production and delivery of 25 F-15IA fighters, with an option for another 25 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long-Term F-15 Programme Support Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The F-15 has remained a key Boeing fighter platform since entering service in the 1970s, evolving through multiple variants and modernization programmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest F-15EX Eagle II incorporates modern avionics, digital flight controls, an open mission-systems architecture and increased weapons capacity, allowing the platform to operate alongside newer-generation fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Eagle Crest contract therefore provides Boeing with a long-term framework for maintaining and developing F-15 capabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although only $343,740 in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funding was obligated at the time of award, additional orders are expected as requirements arise under the IDIQ arrangement, Airforce Technology<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Boeing, the agreement reinforces the F-15 programme\u2019s importance across production, modernization and sustainment while providing a structure for continued support of US and allied operators through the 2030s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
