SEATTLE\u2014<\/strong> An unruly passenger who allegedly threatened female flight attendants and had to be restrained by all seven crew members aboard an Aer Lingus (EI)<\/a> flight has pleaded guilty to interfering with flight crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The offense carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000<\/strong>. The case stems from a June 19 incident aboard a transatlantic flight from Dublin Airport (DUB)<\/a> to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Bradley Noble, 34, entered his guilty plea under a deal with federal prosecutors in Washington state. Court records show his case remained active in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, where Noble appeared before the court on August 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident unfolded during the roughly nine-hour journey as the aircraft cruised at about 36,000 feet over Greenland. According to the federal complaint, Noble became increasingly disruptive after consuming several alcoholic beverages following departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He initially harassed a female passenger seated beside him and allegedly made gestures suggesting that he was forcing pills into her mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation escalated after he spilled soda on the woman, prompting her to report the behavior to the cabin crew, who moved her to another seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noble later went to the mid-cabin galley and allegedly approached a female flight attendant from behind. Investigators said he aggressively wrapped his arms around the crew member and prevented her from immediately escaping before another senior crew member intervened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Noble was returned to his seat, his behavior allegedly continued. A female flight attendant<\/a> was forced to manage him while he shook his seat and repeatedly made threatening and sexually abusive remarks toward her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crew eventually informed the pilots<\/a> about the escalating situation. The pilots authorized the use of restraints, but Noble resisted so forcefully that all seven flight attendants on board were needed to secure him with handcuffs and seat straps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court documents said Noble continued resisting even after he was restrained, with the equipment reportedly beginning to fail under the force of his movements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The disturbance also affected normal cabin operations, with flight attendants unable to perform their regular duties and take scheduled breaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sentencing Recommendation From Federal Prosecutors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
