MANCHESTER\u2014<\/strong> An easyJet (U2)<\/a> Airbus A321 was surrounded by airport fire engines at Manchester Airport (MAN) <\/a>on August 20, 2026, after the pilot reported a smell of fumes in the cockpit while the aircraft was being prepared for departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight EZY9143<\/strong> was scheduled to fly from Manchester to Dalaman Airport (DLM) in Turkey at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers were taken off the aircraft after emergency services attended the scene as a precaution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EasyJet later confirmed that a technical issue prevented the aircraft from operating, with passengers provided accommodation and arrangements made for a replacement aircraft the following day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Cancelled After Technical Issue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

easyJet confirmed that flight EZY9143<\/strong> could not operate as scheduled because of a technical issue affecting the Airbus A321.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
