Malaysia Aviation Group expects the cabin crew testing phase to be completed by Sept. 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Group president and chief executive officer Captain Nasaruddin A. As of Aug. 15, more than half of Firefly\u2019s 158 pilots and 163 cabin crew members had completed screening, with all results reported so far returning negative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysia Aviation Group expects Firefly to complete testing of its remaining operational staff by Aug. 25. Investigators said he allegedly admitted to transporting drugs on previous occasions and claimed he had been offered RM50,000 to deliver the shipment to Jakarta. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/news\/nation\/2026\/08\/1512917\/all-malaysia-airlines-pilots-test-negative-mandatory-drug-screening\">NST<\/a> reported<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case prompted regulatory scrutiny in Malaysia, with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia examining the incident from a regulatory perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Malaysia Aviation Group\u2019s wider screening programme represents a significant expansion of its substance misuse controls as the group seeks to reinforce safety and public confidence across its airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
