CHENNAI\u2014<\/strong> A Malaysian passenger was detained at Chennai International Airport (MAA) <\/a>after Indian Customs officials allegedly discovered 4,033 grams of suspected high-grade hydroponic cannabis in checked baggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passenger had arrived from Bangkok (BKK)<\/a> on August 7 and was reportedly stopped before leaving the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chennai Customs said its Air Intelligence Unit intercepted the passenger following a passenger-profiling exercise. An X-ray scan of the checked luggage reportedly showed suspicious images, prompting officers to conduct a detailed physical examination of the bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
