However, the launch will depend on the availability of these aircraft after they return from Air India&#8217;s ongoing retrofit programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to sources cited by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindubusinessline.com\/economy\/logistics\/air-india-plans-australia-expansion-adelaide-brisbane-under-consideration\/article70667610.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Hindu Businessline<\/a>, Air India did not respond to queries regarding the proposed expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India currently operates daily nonstop services from Delhi to Melbourne and Sydney. These are the first aircraft in the programme and are expected to return to commercial service in March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to sources, Air India plans to send two to three Boeing 787 aircraft for refurbishment every month. Most of these aircraft are expected to be deployed on ultra long haul routes serving North America and selected European destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This strategy is expected to allow refurbished Boeing 787 aircraft to support network expansion in Australia while newly delivered aircraft operate the airline&#8217;s longest international routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image its upgraded premium cabin products on routes serving the United States, Australia, Canada and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upgraded product includes modern cabin interiors introduced through refurbished and newly inducted aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current premium services are already available on selected flights to New York, London and Frankfurt, operated using Boeing 777 aircraft, selected Boeing 787 aircraft and Airbus A350 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to sources, these international markets are expected to be among the first to receive newly delivered
