LONDON\u2013<\/strong> British Airways (BA)<\/a> has removed the Airbus A380<\/strong> from its London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) route for the Winter 2026 to 2027 schedule, replacing the superjumbo with Boeing 777<\/a> and 787 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised schedule also reduces the airline’s planned frequencies between London Heathrow (LHR)<\/strong> and Dubai International Airport (DXB)<\/strong> following ongoing operational disruptions across the Middle East. Emirates (EK)<\/strong> will continue to dominate the route with its extensive A380 operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways Revises Dubai Winter Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

British Airways has significantly changed its plans for Dubai during the Winter 2026 to 2027 season. The airline had originally intended to operate three daily flights between London Heathrow and Dubai, including one daily Airbus A380<\/a> service alongside two Boeing 787-10 flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those plans have now been withdrawn. Instead, British Airways will operate only one to two daily flights depending on the week, with no Airbus A380 scheduled on the route. Most services will be operated by Boeing 787 variants, while selected flights will use the Boeing 777-200ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes come after months of disruption across the airline’s Middle East network. British Airways suspended flights to Dubai in March 2026 following the outbreak of the conflict involving Iran. Current schedules indicate that flights to Dubai are expected to resume on October 25, 2026, which marks the beginning of the IATA Northern Hemisphere winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has also postponed the planned return of services to Abu Dhabi and Bahrain until 2027 as it continues adjusting its regional network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Cirium<\/a> data reported by Simple Flying<\/a>, the revised Dubai schedule represents one of the biggest capacity reductions by British Airways in the Middle East for the upcoming winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Updated London to Dubai Schedule<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For the first week of January 2027, British Airways plans the following services between London Heathrow and Dubai:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus A380 Network Shrinks Further<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The removal of Dubai from the Airbus A380 network significantly reduces British Airways’ superjumbo operations this winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between November 2026 and February 2027, the airline is scheduled to operate only five daily Airbus A380 departures from London Heathrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
