Final assembly of the first C919 was completed in November 2015 before the aircraft conducted its maiden flight in May 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It later received its type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in September 2022, clearing the way for commercial deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COMAC delivered the first production aircraft in December 2022, while the C919 entered commercial passenger service in May 2023.
