The proposal applies to Boeing aircraft operated by airlines worldwide and is currently open for public comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed directive impacts Boeing 737-8, 737-9, and 737-8200 aircraft, commonly operated by airlines such as <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/ryanair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ryanair (FR)<\/a>, United Airlines (UA), and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/alaska-airlines\/\">Alaska Airlines (AS)<\/a>. As a result, the seat could become detached from the floor tracks if subjected to increased forces during severe turbulence or an <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Emergency\">emergency landing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FAA warned that a detached passenger seat could injure passengers and cabin crew. It could also obstruct the aircraft aisle, slowing passenger evacuation during an emergency.
