the program advances toward its planned 2035 service entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GCAP initiative brings together Japan, the<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/united-kingdom\/\"> United Kingdom<\/a>, and Italy to develop a next-generation combat aircraft that will eventually replace the Mitsubishi F-2 in Japan and the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/eurofighter-typhoon\/\">Eurofighter Typhoon<\/a> fleets operated by the UK and Italy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the program does not involve commercial airlines or airports, it remains one of the world&#8217;s most significant multinational aerospace projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The latest development follows the recent \u00a34.6 billion ($6.1 billion) Japanese media reports, final assembly of Japan&#8217;s GCAP fighter will be conducted at MHI&#8217;s Komaki South Plant in Toyoyama, Aichi Prefecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility already serves as one of Japan&#8217;s premier military aircraft production centers and has extensive experience assembling <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=F-35\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lockheed Martin F-35A fighter jets<\/a> for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its established production infrastructure, highly skilled workforce, and ongoing collaboration with British engineers made the plant the preferred choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Engineers from the United Kingdom are already working alongside MHI specialists to develop key structural elements and manufacturing processes for the future aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Japan has confirmed its national assembly location, the three partner nations have yet to finalize the complete industrial
