LONDON\u2014<\/strong> Israir (6H)<\/a> has raised concerns over what it believes could be deliberate targeting after one of its Airbus A320 aircraft was damaged by an airport ground vehicle at London Luton Airport (LTN)<\/a>, marking the third similar incident involving the airline at the airport in less than a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israeli aviation officials have urged British authorities to investigate whether the repeated collisions were accidental or intentional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest incident occurred on July 17 as the aircraft prepared to operate a scheduled flight from London Luton Airport (LTN) to Tel Aviv\u2019s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israir Luton Damage Probe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to reports from Israeli media, the tug vehicle collided with the Airbus A320<\/a> while it was being positioned for departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers remained onboard for around an hour without air conditioning during unusually hot weather as maintenance teams assessed whether repairs could be completed quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the inspection, the airline determined that the aircraft could not safely operate the scheduled service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cancellation disrupted travel plans for approximately 300 passengers, who were later transferred back to the terminal while the airline arranged accommodation and alternative transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has recently encountered other operational difficulties beyond London. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Israir alleged that Slovenian authorities denied one of its scheduled flights permission to land in Ljubljana, forcing the Airbus A320 to divert to Zagreb, Croatia, where passengers completed their journeys by road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Israel’s aviation sector is preparing for additional operational pressure as authorities evaluate plans to accommodate more U.S. Air Force<\/a> aerial refueling aircraft at Ben Gurion Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
