ATLANTA-<\/strong> A Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> captain has drawn widespread praise after a passenger filmed him loading luggage onto his own aircraft at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) during a long delay. The video, shared on Reddit, quickly spread as travelers reacted to the pilot stepping in to help a short-staffed ramp crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight had already been held for more than two hours when the captain left the cockpit and walked out to the ramp in Atlanta (ATL). Passengers identified him as “Captain Paul,” and the clip has since become a talking point about airline staffing and employee initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Pilot Steps Onto The Ramp In Atlanta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the account posted on Reddit, the flight was stuck at the gate in Atlanta with a delay running past two hours. The passenger wrote that only one ramp agent was available to load the bags, which prompted the captain<\/a> to head outside and assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original post read: “Stuck in ATL right now with a flight that has been delayed more than two hours. They only found one poor guy to load our bags, so the pilot went out to help. I’ve never seen anything like that!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same passenger added: “Kudos to the one ramp agent and pilot<\/a>, but who’s going to help us get off the gate?” A later edit confirmed the pilot’s name, stating: “That is Captain Paul! Awesome team.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
