The inaugural flight arrived in the Georgian capital with a reported 98% passenger load factor, underscoring strong market demand for the long-awaited route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new three-times-weekly service strengthens air connectivity between Georgia and China while creating new opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural service was welcomed at Tbilisi International Airport by Georgian government officials, aviation executives, and representatives from China Eastern Airlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

China Eastern will operate the Shanghai\u2013Tbilisi route three times each week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service provides travelers with the first regular nonstop air link between Georgia’s capital and China’s financial center, eliminating the need for connecting flights through other regional hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kvrivishvili also highlighted that the Shanghai<\/a> service is currently the longest scheduled passenger route operating from Tbilisi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
